Every mom has a story. Every mom has a gift.

I am a thirty something mom who spent the majority of her life in the Midwest, but relocated to the beautiful state of Oregon five years ago.  At age seven I decided I wanted to be a writer, but somehow my life took many twists and turns and I ended up as a youth pastor and later a stay at home mom.  I still LOVE youth ministry and currently lead a middle school youth group as a volunteer.  I have a wonderful husband, three children all two years apart, a crazy cat, a guinea pig, and a goldfish who officially made it to her first birthday.   I am an insane long distance runner (though I am a high school track drop out and never tried cross-country) and have completed two marathons.

I wanted to start a mom blog because I have met many moms all over the country (and the world) who have a story to share.  Not only that, but each are blessed with amazing gifts that have inspired me.  I want to compile all these stories and ideas into one “mom blog” and hope it can inspire other moms around the world.

We have a lot in common! I was a long distance runner (also a HS track drop out) in the past (completed one marathon and lots of 1/2s), am from the Midwest, and have a sister who relocated to the PA NW many years ago. Good luck with your degree and thanks for stopping by Simplify, Live, Love.

Wow! We do have a lot in common. I think running is easier when you get older. I had all kinds of injuries in high school and that was one of the reasons I quit. If you ever get to my side of the country, the Portland Marathon is a great “rookie” marathon. It was my first. Thanks for stopping by Everyday Mom!

The great thing about being a writer is that you can be a writer and all those other things, too. And it looks like you are! Nice to find your blog–

Thanks for reading! I feel like I was a blogger before there were blogs. I have boxes in my attic of journals, poetry, and articles. Blogging has been such a great hobby for me. Thanks for reading!
